Expository/Argumentative Essay's

This year, we read the novel “Unbroken” by Laura Hillenbrand. Throughout my time reading this book, I fell in love with it. Everything about this book was so interesting. I enjoy reading books that are based on true stories because it helps me as life goes on, I’ll know that many people have been through worse and survived and that I can survive too. When I read, it’s like everything around me freezes and it’s just my book and I. I get so into my book that I loose track of time, especially if it’s a good book. I read every single word in that book that I could write 10 essays about it! This essay was really the best essay that I’ve written in my whole life. The passion I have for this book is clearly visible in my essay and I feel like this essay really proves the reader my point of view. This essay is definitely one that I will not forget!!

Unbroken Literary Project

As you can probably tell by now, my best work all revolves around Unbroken. This project was a project of my choice. We had the choice to pick our project for our Unbroken Novel. In the novel, the main character, Louis, is not the best kid. He was a big trouble maker and was something every mother feared to have her son be. So I teamed up with one of my classmates, Giselle, and we choose 6 scenes from the book/movie and wrote it in his mother’s point of view. This was one of the best projects that I’ve done in my Language Arts class because of how different it is. The story is written in third person, meaning that we don’t get the point of views of the people in the story. Louis changes rapidly through his life and it’s always effective on the mother more than anyone else. Louis’ mother has been by his side from beginning to end and never left. She’s very important to him and he’s very important to his mother. I thought that it would be interesting for people to see or imagine how his mother might have felt.
