Charity Fair, Math Portion

Charity Fair has always been one of my favorite projects of the year. For this project, we are expected to make something that we can sell at student exhibition night to raise money for the charity we choose.  Since this was my last year doing charity fair, I wanted to make it my best. I decided to team up with one of my classmates, Kayla. We wanted to make multiple things for people to buy from charity fair. We both really liked apples and decided that it’ll be fun to make a bunch of apple themed desserts. The math portion of the project was the one where we worked the hardest on. I’m so proud of what I did for the math portion, which was calculating how much it’ll cost us to make each of the desserts, how much profit we’d make, and other things we had to consider. For this project, I’ve done the most math that I’ve ever done. It was just numbers after numbers and it gave me a few headaches. At the end, my partner and I made some delicious apple desserts that we sold at the charity fair and we actually ended up raising about $70!
